HEATMETERING China2011, the first ANNUAL international heat metering event, organized by GSL Events, successfully ended on May 26, 2011 in The Presidential Hotel, Beijing, China. Though it was our FIRST event focusing on HEAT metering, we were greatly honored with strong supports and recognitions from domestic and international professionals!

HEATMETERING China2011 provided a professional and international exchange platform broadly covering governments, regulatory authorities, heat supply enterprises, technological research organizations, heat metering products & technology solution providers and investors. Totally over 350 professionals from 10-odds countries participated in this event.

Year 2011 is the first year of China's National Twelfth Five-Year Plan while HEATMETERING China2011 is the first international symposium held in China, focusing on heat metering technology and management. Through this event, heat utilities not only learnt latest policy & regulation and development plan, but also exchanged valuable project experience with their peers while heat metering suppliers closely followed the latest regulations directed by governments and learnt utility needs so as to adjust their marketing strategies accordingly.

Through this event, we obtained a plenty of positive feedback and encouragement about the quality and contents of the conference program from both heat utility participants and leading vendors, especially the message and information those high level speakers from both government and utilities delivered to conference delegates are updated and very valuable, directing the industry today and tomorrow.

This event was supplemented by the small-scaled professional exhibitions in order to help all the delegates and participants more easily and well experience the latest products & technology development in heat metering industry. Totally more than 10 well-known companies shared the advanced technology and industrial opinions by product exhibition concerning heat meters, reading system, components, etc. For instance, Engelmann, Hydrometer, Beijing MK-Chip, QingDao Topscomm and NingBo Water Meter, etc. Although heat metering reform is just at its beginning stage, with policies, standards and directions to be set down clearly in the coming few years, heat metering products will enjoy a huge potential market and heat metering reform will lead to smart metering as well as three networks/four meters in one.

In May 26 afternoon, with full assistances of Beijing District Heating Group, 30 Chinese and foreign delegates visited the project of smart metering billing system which combined the reform of the substation of heat supply network, heat metering, billing, remote reading, data management and perfect CRM. With the detailed and professional presentation given by BDHG, we have been gratified to see the thorough discussion and views exchange unfold among delegates, experts, and professionals.
