RICDO Consulting) is an independent industry information analyst and consulting service provider, well established by James LAU the founder of the leading media brand METERING China Publications based on his more than 30 years of work experience and deep knowledge in the utility（electricity, water, gas and heat）industries. 

Under RICDO Consulting, METERING China Publications is the leading authority and famous brand name on the smart meter and smart utility markets, providing up-to-date industry news, incisive comment and professional resources.

RICDO Consulting is focused on providing research, analysis and consulting services to clients in the fields of utility (especially the metering segments of electricity, water, gas and heat/cool) industries in China. We possess deep expertise in utility (covering electricity, water, gas and heat) segments of China, such as smart utilities, smart grids, smart metering, renewable energy and connected industries.

James LAU possesses more than 30 years of work experience in Chinese utility (electricity, water, gas and heat) metering industries and ever held various managerial positions in both domestic and international companies in the past years, including ABB (China), Landis & Gyr (China), and founded/run GSL Consulting China with METERING China Publications for more than 20 years. Herein he gained considerable experiences and capabilities in general management, sales and marketing, business development and cooperation as well as market research.

He holds a DIM (MBA) degree in management and bachelor’s degree in power system and automation.

More, he is also a frequent speaker in international conferences about topics of Chinese utility metering development and future trends. 

Up to date, he has accumulatively supported more than 100+ clients (including both domestic and international companies) with analytical and consulting services including market research, partner search and assessment, business establishment (JV & WOFE) in China, and product procurement from Chinese suppliers. With his proven experience and knowledge, he is capable to help clients being successful, saving time and investment in China.
